Writing Collaboratively

Luckily for our class we don't have to go through the hell on earth every week that would be working in groups for our blog. Every college student at some point in their career has to or has already has worked in a group to get a course project done. Every fellow student I have met pretty much dreads that moment and I understand why. I have had only one bad experience where two other group members did not do their parts  so I ended up losing half a letter grade, but I try to tackle every new group assignment with genuine new enthusiasm. That is why thought Chapter 4: Writing Collaboratively will be helpful with our next assignment. It was definitively a interesting read with basic advice for working in groups like not being rude to more in depth reason why men and women behave differently in groups.

  1. How can you ever say we're going through hell in Technical Writing? It is the highlight of my Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Although, I must say that I hate working in groups. It's extremely important to have people respect you. You can get much more done if people like and trust what you say.

I'm jealous you've only had one bad group experience. I can probably tell you one or two positive experiences I've had with groups in my entire life.

I like this post and what you brought up. It definitely invites conversation.

  2. I am trying to decide is Seth is being genuine here about the highlights of his MWR. While I feel that way I am not sure you all do.

What didn't go well in your group for tech writing that made it hell? What knowledge for the book did you specifically apply? Try to be more detailed and explain.
